Every hardwood I use has a slightly different finishing technique with burr woods being the most time consuming and challenging. Antler and Mammoth Ivory have a grain with similarity’s to wood but again have their own finishing technique to reveal their true beauty.
It has taken me over a decade to learn these particular skills and now have them built into muscle memory. Every single piece I make shows the chosen materials at their absolute best.
